Fedora’s KDE 6 will only support Wayland and X11 Sessions will be no longer available. That’s a huge milestone in the open source community and signals the gateway to a new, safer and more modern Desktop Environment.

People are scrambling to get their features in before either the soft feature freeze (on Monday) or the hard one (a few weeks later). So this has been a week of big changes! The floating panels feel good, some of the settings are better without the check boxes but a switch instead. I find the new settings arrangement a little bit awkward but I guess it’s a matter of time … 🙂
