1. The Forums are slow or unreachable because thousands of IPs are hammering the site (nginx 499 errors), starving resources.
2. The admin has deployed Anubis, a JavaScript-based bot check before pages load, which has brought the forums back up but with slowdowns, stalls, and timeouts until the attack subsides.
3. Browsers with JavaScript disabled can’t access the site.
